Core Class Outline
3 to 5 years old
- Greet the children and the teachers.
- Distribute maracas, egg shakers, bells, etc.
- Sing the Hello Song with each child’s name to all children until you know everyone’s name or if time permits according to the curriculum.
- Request song suggestions from children.
- Sing at least one different song weekly.
- Try to incorporate as many children’s names as possible throughout the class while speaking between songs.
- Present the curriculum and lesson plan using the music board, along with the appropriate instruments or props.
- Perform at least one movement song weekly.
- Conclude the class by expressing gratitude to the children and teachers.
- Sing the Goodbye Song (if time permits)
- Stamp the children’s hands and say “Great Job” with the child’s name.
- Distribute music cards or family guides
